To be loved is the instinctive desire of every human heart. To
be loved by God and family and friends is a great desire. To be
respected, to be honored, to be successful, is the ambition of
all. Our constant desire to be happy: this never-varying instinct
lies at the foundation of every heart. Yet, these desires apart
from Christ Jesus, as the supreme head of the home, will never
fully be realized. These true and real desires are only fully
met in the order that God has established, for the family. This
divine order given by God, husband, wife, and then children, should
remain always in the home. Any breech in this God given order
invites trouble, discord, and pain.
We toil for acquisition of wealth, for position and place, for
social and political distinction, which brings a form of happiness.
And when all is obtained, the real enjoyment, is it there? Once
again, apart from Christ who is the giver of all good and perfect
gifts, if HE is not acknowledged and a part of ones life, emptiness
is equally found amidst all the acquisitions.
In reality, it need not take much to make a house a home. To
help one feel fulfilled as husband, wife, or father, or mother.
It is not so much the positions or the achievements as it is the
TRUTH of God's own Son. The truth is that God alone is the giver
of all these wonderful blessings that we so desire. Let us seek
Jesus to be the Lord of our lives. Not to just receive but to
give the BEST, to our family and love ones. Through Him, we will
find joy, peace and harmony of home that only reigns in the homes,
of God's children
The golden rule should be our constant guide, " To do unto
others as ye would that they should do unto you." By faithful
observation of this rule we find harmony, satisfaction and happiness;
the love of God and acts of kindly feeling extended to us. Which
create in us a desire to strew the pathway of others with roses
and make life all sunshine as the Holy Spirit imparts and fills
our lives.
